This booster cushion cover is made from an antique Maru Obi 丸帯, which is considered the highest ranking Obi. Before the modern invention of Fukuro Obi, which is now the standard for formal Kimonos, there was the Maru Obi, which boasts embroidery on both sides and is extremely heavy.
The design two cranes on one side with flowers. The other side features a bold design with Ume (plum blossoms) and a phoenix.
