Vintage Red Sou-Shibori Kimono Skirt
This skirt is made from a Sou-Shibori Kimono. Sou-Shibori 総絞り is a traditional hand tie-dye technique. Each dot is tied by hand before the textile is dipped in dye—then each dot is untied manually. A process that can take several weeks. Because of the enormous amount of labor that goes into Sou-Shibori, it is considered a high end textile. The skirt features elastic waist band and two side pockets.
This skirt can accommodate a range of sizes by adjusting the length of the waist elastic, which can be accessed easily through a discreet opening on the inside of the waistband.
